Survivor’s Rights
Services for the Sexual Assault Survivor
The Center’s advocates will work with a survivor no matter what course of action they choose to pursue. The Center works closely with Law Enforcement.
If they choose to report the crime, California Penal Code Section 679.04 guarantees the victim of sexual assault has the right to have victim advocates and a support person of the victim’s choosing present at any interview by law enforcement authorities, district attorneys, or defense attorneys.
