We at The Center are dedicated to education, advocacy and providing services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Due to the strong dedication of our Volunteers, The Center has been able to provide quality services over the past thirty years. We simply could not have operated in the capacity that the community has come to know us, if it were not for our volunteer support. We are very fortunate to host a tremendously strong Special Volunteer Unit (SVU) consisting of over fifty dedicated and passionate individuals.
This past year alone Volunteers have provided over 6,300 service hours to The Center. On a weekly basis, thirty four volunteers give of their time and energy to make a difference in our clients’ lives. We are also very fortunate to engage an active and ‘working’ Board that consists of ten dynamic individuals working together proactively to drive The Center and our mission forward within our community. Typically, after completing the certification training of 69 hours, volunteers become engaged in a service area of their choice. You can review the volunteer opportunities that are available by the various departments.
