Nonviolent Communication Workshops
PARENTING FROM YOUR HEART - EIGHT WEEKS
When: April. 2-May. 21, 2012, Mondays at 6 p.m.
This workshop is designed to help parents build a stronger connection with their children using compassionate communication.
The eight week series will help parents understand the needs behind their children’s behavior, empower their kids to open up, cooperate and realize their full potential. Parents will learn to handle disagreements, problem behaviors, and tantrums without yelling, spanking or relying on the threat of punishment or the promise of rewards.
Parents will learn to foster healthy communication that leads to everyone being heard and valued in the home. The goal is mutual cooperation and respect - parent and child reaching out and working together to meet each others needs compassionately.

PEACE IN THE HOME – FOUR WEEKS
When: June 4 – 25, 2012 (Mondays 6-8 p.m.)
A workshop for anyone who wants to improve relationships and is looking for help with dealing with conflict in the home.
The workshop will support participants in learning how to navigate through conflict and tension in the home and honor and respect all individuals involved.
Participants will learn to identify their triggers and how to better respond to them. The main aim of the workshop is to help participants develop the freedom to choose, in every moment, how they want to meet life.
The workshop will assist participants in learning to ask for all they want and yet remain open to hearing “no.” It will also help individuals find freedom and power in responding empathetically in challenging circumstances, while stepping into radical self-acceptance along the way.
