Nonviolent Communication Workshops
PEACE IN THE HOME WORKSHOP – FOUR WEEKS
Mondays, June 3-24, 2013 from 6-8:30 p.m.
The Peace in the Home workshop is for anyone who wants to improve their relationships and is looking for help with dealing with conflict in the home.
The workshop will support participants in learning how to navigate through conflict and tension in the home and honor and respect all individuals involved. Participants will learn to identify their triggers and how to better respond to them. The main aim of the workshop is to help participants develop the freedom to choose, in every moment, how they want to meet life.
“The stakes are often very high when we are dealing with family and close relationships,” said Eddie Zacapa, Positive Solutions Program Director and workshop presenter. “That is why it is so important to learn how to meet the challenges with empathy, goodwill and authenticity. In this class we want to empower individuals to realize their full potential and show up with integrity when tension and conflict arise.”
The workshop will assist participants in learning to ask for what they want and yet remain open to hearing “no.” It will also help individuals be effective in responding empathetically in challenging circumstances, while stepping into radical self-acceptance and self-empowerment along the way.
The Center is dedicated to building healthy relationships, families and communities free from sexual assault and domestic violence through education, advocacy and services in western El Dorado County.
