Adopt a Family for the Holidays
Each year, The Center’s Adopt a Family program connects generous community members with families who are rebuilding their lives after abuse, trauma, or housing instability. When you adopt a family, you’re helping create a season filled with warmth, joy, and belonging for parents and children who need it most.
Why Support a Family?
Many survivors in our programs have had to leave everything behind to find safety. The holidays can be a painful reminder of what’s been lost — and a powerful opportunity to rebuild hope. Your support gives children laughter, stability, and the feeling that they matter.

Worried About Cost?
You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars to make a difference. Some sponsors adopt one child, while others team up with friends, coworkers, or community groups to share the cost of gifts for a full family.
We’ll match you with a family that fits your comfort level and budget. Whether it’s a winter coat, a few small toys, or a grocery gift card, your generosity shows survivors that they are not forgotten.
How It Works
- Step 1: Sign up online to let us know you’d like to adopt a family.
- Step 2: We’ll match you with a family and provide their wish list — including ages, clothing sizes, and a few gift ideas.
- Step 3: Purchase the items, wrap them with care, and deliver them to The Center for distribution before the holidays.

You can still help! Your donation helps us fill the gaps for families still waiting to be matched or those needing essentials like groceries and warm clothing. Every contribution makes a difference.
